I did it! I did it. And it’s only October. I ran my goal of 1000 miles for the year. More accurately, I ran what I thought would get me to 1k. It ended up being 999.9 so I went back out. I also managed a half marathon PB. Hello 1:43:02! A whole 10 minutes quicker than the year before. I also went to Dubai and ran along the beach. Back in Scotland the leaves have changed to autumanl colours and it is my favourite time of the year. October you weren’t too bad!

Overall in October I ran 107.7 miles, taking me well over my 1000 mile goal.
Pre race is all about the kit lay.
Great Scottish Half always means Mum and Dad travel down. The best cheerleaders. Sorry for running so quick so you missed me!
The happiest and cheesiest grin ever. Never did I think I would manage a 1:43:02 half. All the miles and gym sessions are paying off. Apart from finding shorts that fit.. Big thighs and tiny waist problems!
Years ago Dubai did not have this beautiful green running track. It had the beach or the pavement. I used to struggle to run the length of the original Burj beach. So coming back and more than managing was quite nice! I am so impressed by the track, with every 200m measured out. 9am and it was well over 30, oh how I miss the heat! Also an excuse to wear my brightest kit and sunnies.
30 degrees at 8 at night. Hello shorts and tank weather.
Back in Glasgow it’s dark in the evenings, so the return to my favourite bright lights.
As mentioned yesterday, all the pretty colours!
Call me crazy but I am now going to aim for 2016 km this year or 1252.684 miles. Better get moving!
