Chop Chop is famous in Edinburgh for it’s dumplings and homemade noodles, about 2 weeks ago they opened their doors in Mitchell Lane in Glasgow. As soon as you walk in you don’t feel like you are in rainy, cold Scotland, in part due to the cherry blossom tree. Is it odd that I now want one in my imaginary house?
This lunch deal looks great. I will definitely be going for lunch here on Fridays!
They recommend ordering 2 small plates and 1 large plate, or 4 small plates per person. I went for 3 small plates and a desert.
Aubergine with garlic and spring onion.
Dumpling sauce – vinegar, chilli, and soy sauce.
A selection of Beef and chilli and prawn dumplings.
However, the real winner is a Baked Alaska, Asian style. Fried ice cream dumplings. Hot pastry and cold ice-cream will always confuse me, but it is one of my favourite treats!
