DaughterBook

This book was heavily advertised on the public transport around London, which admittedly could mean it’s a stereotypical chick-lit novel, that you would read on the beach. The book is a Sunday Times bestseller and in Richard and Judy bookclub, potentially due to all the free advertising around TFL. Regardless, I loved it. It had me captivated for the entirety of a train ride. I love books that switch time periods from present today to the past. Leaving you with an eagerness to join the dots between the time frames and figure out exactly what has happened. Our relationship with our parents changes throughout our teenage years, despite the book focusing heavily on the daughter’s relationship with her mother, it is interesting to see how the 3 children have different relationships.
