When I first outgrew teenage literature, my first adventure into more grown up literature was John Grisham. Mum has pretty much every one of his books and there is something fun about a who done it. Although, I never seem to guess correctly!
This book is less of a gruesome bloody crime and more a battle of will between the coal-mining companies and the lawyers investigating various cases of black lung. Being a bit of a plane geek, I did like the various chapters that spoke about flying and the Cessna Skyhawk plane.
My all-time favourite Grisham novel is Skipping Christmas. I tend to read it in the week before Christmas, whilst drinking slightly too much peppermint schnapps hot chocolate.
