Still Alice is an incredible book, I can easily see why it was adapted into a film with Julianne Moore playing Alice. As discussed in the last book I read about memory, Elizabeth is missing, it’s scary. I know how I’ve felt when I’ve forgotten a tiny detail that my Mum has told me, so can’t begin to comprehend what it must be like for everything. The book was in the New York Times bestseller list for 40 weeks, whilst the film earned Julianne Moore an Academy Award for best actress. Going to watch the film in the next week, so often book adaptations on the screen are disappointing, but given the accolades associated with the film, it’s not true for this adaptation.
