This captivating book was read in between all the Christmas festivities. As I read on a kindle, I hadn’t seen the cover of the book until I wrote this blog post. The cover is brilliant, I am only fully understanding the significance of the cover having finished the book. The book was named Amazon’s book of the year for 2013, so I am slightly late on reading it. However, I could not put it down, all 800+ pages of it.
Theo, the main character is full of wit and self-assuredness from the start, although, my favourite character was his long term best friend Boris. I loved how cheeky Boris was from a young school kid, until the final few scenes. One of the best books I have read in a long time.
