Another goal of mine was to start watching more Ted Talks. I’ve heard about them for years, but never really watched them until I finished Quiet. I am going to start a new section on the blog, Ted Talk Thursday, where unsurprisingly on a Thursday I post a link to a Ted Talk.
Sam Berns suffered from Progeria, a disease which premetaurely ages kids. Sam delivered his talk at TedXMidAtlantic in 2013. His can-do, will do attitude was quite simply inspiring. I loved his story about engineering a harness light enough to allow him to join his high school’s marching band.
Words to live by:
I’m okay with what I ultimately can’t do because there is so much I can do.
