Despite being an avid reader, I admittedly have not read enough classics of any genre. When it was announced that Harper Lee had written another book and that it was to be published I was embarrassed to admit I had never read To Kill a Mockingbird. In short, the book is incredible. I can really see why it is such a loved story but equally why it’s used so extensively in education for essays on a range of topics from childhood, to racism and adulthood. Upon finishing the book, I just wanted to read more as I loved how Harper Lee wrote the story and wanted to know more about Scout and Jem.
Going to watch the film this weekend and preorder her second book, to my kindle.
What are some other classics I should read?
