So my last attempt at Granola, proved rather successful. My friend gave me the recipe for Banana Bread Granola by The Minimalist Baker. I really like the ethos of Dana and John, all there recipes are under 10 ingredients and take around 30 minutes to prepare. This granola smelt amazing when baking in the oven, I was half expecting to find a loaf of banana bread in the oven.
It’s such a simple and easy way to prepare breakfast as all the difficult prep work is already done. Simply add some yoghurt and fruit and off you go. When serving I have also added chia seeds and more flaxseeds.
I am going to do some seasonal granola in the upcoming months, so pumpkin spice for October/November, then gingerbread for December. Also tempted to make it as gifts for friends, presented in pretty Kilner jar and use gluten-free oats for friends that have a gluten intolerance.
