Things I love, all things Christmas Jumper related and all things glitter. In any form. Whether it’s a tacky Christmas Jumper, glittery makeup or an understated glitter skirt. When I lived in Houston, back in the early 00s they were well into their Christmas jumpers and I am more than glad this trend has hit the UK well and truly in the last few years. Here is my guide to festive dressing this party season.
For a night on the town
Want to be all Glitzy and Glam? Simply take a Bauble Jumper, tuck into a silver high waisted skirt and add some silver dancing shoes. The skirt in the picture, is an old sale number from LK Bennet, that I have worn everywhere, from the office with a black blazer to tone it down, to my parents silver wedding with a black top. If you buy a wool or delicate Christmas Jumper, make sure to follow all wash instructions!
For Christmas Shopping
Half the fun of Christmas shopping in my opinion, is dressing for the occasion so a simple outfit – Candy Cane Jumper, Black Jeans and good old Converse. Comfy and practical for the endless queues at the tills and the inevitable post shopping drink. The pictured jumper is a few years old from the mens section of River Island. So don’t be afraid to shop in the mens department.
For the glitter princess
I love glitter, I love confetti and really anything shiny. This can be quite an understated yet still festive look, Glitter Socks over ankled boots and a subtle Glitter Jumper.
Want to jazz it up a bit? Add this Glitter Midi Skirt. Otherwise known as a real life mermaid skirt, perfect with knit wears, simple camis, ankle boots, heels, you name it. Can also be worn in the height of summer with a crop top. The glitter possibilities are endless.
I find glitter just as mesmerising as I did when I was little. I love the way glitter photographs and changes in the light.
