What do you get when you add a slightly fruity twist to a classic cosmo? A brighter and more instagram friendly, passionfruit Cosmo.
Since my original cosmo post, I have updated to these classic LSA cocktail glasses, again partly for the instagram appeal, but also because it somehow tastes better if it’s in the correct glassware. Plus it then feels more like you are in a swanky bar, and not in my flat. Confession, most of my Friday night cocktails are made in leggings and a large hoodie, with slippers…
Back to the passionfruit cosmo, much the same as the original:
- 2 shots of vodka
- 1.5 shots of Passoa
- 1.5 shots of cranberry juice
- 1 shot of sugar syrup (admittedly I forgot)
- 1/2 lime juice (yes, it’s a lemon pictured)
- Orange to garnish
So yes, I did make this with a lemon and it did work. But I would definitely recommend a lime instead. I also forgot to add the sugar syrup. So do as I say in the recipe, not as the pictures suggest…
As you can probably guess, add all the liquor to a shaker filled with ice, pour of the syrup and add your lemon juice. Keep shaking and then pour over a cold martini glass.
You could switch up the decoration on the passionfruit cosmo by garnishing with half of a passionfruit.
