After another tough Sunday run, I wound up in Siempre cafe and tried a rather delicious Green Jersey smoothie. So much so that it has become my new go-to post exercise smoothie recipe. It could not be simpler.
A handful of frozen spinach, a banana (can also be frozen), apple juice, a squeeze of lime or lemon, and a scoop of vanilla whey protein. Simply chuck the ingredients into a nutribullet or blender, blend and enjoy.
It is really refreshing despite the neon green colour! It also tastes great with coconut water instead of the apple juice.
