Does going to a wine night classify me as as proper grown up? If so, guess I have grown up! The Scullery is tucked in the corner of the Finnieston area of Glasgow and is a lovely space for both drinks and eating. (It’s a hop, skip and a jump away from the SSE, so perfect for any pre-gig meals). They held a wine night over the weekend, which was fab.
Starting, as all night’s should with some bubbles.
Followed by some white wines. Everyone was quick to snap the perfect shot.
My favourite was a Vinho Verde wine from Portugal.
Dinner was endless supplies of cheese, parma ham, olives, chorizo and more cheese. The perfect way to enjoy an evening.
I don’t have much to say about the reds, as I’m still a white wine kind of a gal. But, I did take a few sips which is more than normal! This sweet dessert wine however, was lovely, although very very sweet!
Finished with some custard tarts.
I’m going to try a few more wine nights, just to expand my knowledge beyond the cheapest bottle on the supermarket shelf and to try and enjoy some red!
