Avenue G and Antiques

My love for brunch and coffee is no secret. Living in the West End of Glasgow provides plenty of spots for coffee and eggs all within a 20 minute walk from my flat. My newest haunt is Avenue G on Byres Road, with own roasted coffee. I’ve bought my own bag and have been using it for a french press in the morning, at 8 pounds a bag which lasts for 2 weeks, it’s a lot cheaper than a takeout coffee everyday.

Tucked of Byres Road is a series of Antique shops, on Ruthven Lane. It’s quite literally like Aladdin’s cave, with the treasure being in the eye of the beholder. However, my Grandma’s Old Country Rose China is ever popular! Makes me smile and think of her.

One day, I will buy an old camera and some film and just experiment.

Nice to see that the soup mugs which my parents still use, are now known as antique!
