When I first moved into my flat, I was determined to get everything perfect within the first few weeks. Plot spoiler, I didn’t, nor was it realistic. One of my favourite ways to decorate the flat is by adding frames, throughout the flat. Not just on walls, but in bookshelves.
Frames of all shapes and sizes, all different colours and with completely different things hanging in side. A camel, an arabic print, old birthdays cards, photos. You get the drift.
Another top tip, buy frames when you see ones you like. I’d had this glitter frame since last summer but never got round to doing anything with it. When I refound an old birthday card, I knew it would fit into the frame perfectly. The glitter frame, had different notecards on it, hence the white string running vertically. I switched a few of the notecards into a Next frame and I am quite pleased with the outcome.
Simple, but very effective. In fact all 3 on the bookshelf are old cards, proof that my friends know me well!
