In order to celebrate my cousin turning 18, 12 of us headed down to Ian Brown’s for a family meal. The food was incredible, the place itself is tiny only seating about 30 people so we took up the majority of the place.
We all got given spicy carrot and ginger soup as an appetiser in espresso sized cups to help us choose our dishes. Such a good idea, and much needed given it was chucking it with rain when we came in.
Unsurprisingly I had fish for both starter and main. Scallops on a potato rosti.
My Mum had monkfish with bacon and chorizo and pea sauce.
For mains sea bass fillet with prawn risotto.
The birthday girl had lamb with the usual accompaniments.
Desert was a chocolate souffle.
