1000 miles – four months in.

So running in April had it all – 2 continents, tank top weather, rain, stairs, hail. I managed 95.8 miles this month, could not quite motivate myself to do 8 miles on Saturday, having already done weight training that morning. But, I am getting better at having rest days and days off from the gym. Interestingly, I did the same number of runs as March, but longer average distance.

Loops of fury with MRF Running – aka looping around Kelvingrove Park with a walking rest in between loops. Horrible, yet effective. You tend to feel ill during it, hello lactic acid but it definitely helps with increased speed!

I like equations. d = vt. This was supposed to be a long run aka above 8 miles, but due to a terrible velocity and little motivation, I called it quits early, so a shorter distance.

Still dreaming about those Central Park loops, 6 beautiful miles that create one awesome loop on satellite. To have this on your doorstep everyday would be a dream.

Hail at the end of April. Bare arms + hail = red raw arms for a while. This led to a horrible run, at no point during the 7 miles did I heat up. Ended up showering and spending the remainder of the evening in a dressing gown and fluffy slippers. Note to self – check the weather!

Overall for the year I am 411 miles in. 589 more miles to go!
