Another day and another museum, in this case Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. The outside is stunning, yet I forgot to take photos! The building was originally opened in 1901 and underwent refurbishment and reopened in 2006. However, the main entrance does not face onto Argyle Street, instead it faces onto Kelvingrove Park itself.
The massive organ takes up a huge portion of the entrance hall. Daily recitals are played, which must be breath-taking.
Geek alert, the spitfire was the first plane I ever studied at uni, so I got a bit excited and took plenty of photos of it…. I love how its suspended from the roof, gives such an interesting perspective of the size of it.
A stuffed rhino, most of the other stuffed animals were in the open.
A spitfire and a giraffe such a peculiar site.
