A cheer weekend.

This weekend I am off to Bath University for Future Cheer Nationals, where all the cheer university teams compete against each other. Southampton Vixens are entered in All Girl Level 3, which is one of the most competitive divisions with 15 teams. The weekend is starting early, meeting at 5am to travel to Bath, to watch dance compete Saturday. Followed by dinner in Bristol and a stay at a youth hostel, and the cheer team competing on the Sunday.

After winning ICC Southerns at the start of the February, we have high hopes and have been training hard.

Cheer weekends are the highlight of my year, a weekend away with the girls, copious amounts of coffee to stay awake, bad snack food, hairspray, glitter and plenty of tan. A lovely change from engineering lectures!

After 4 years of doing cheerleading, I have finally mastered the quiff, with the help of a sponge comb.
