How to make stress you friend, not a title you would expect. Society/media/friends/work etc are constantly telling us that stress makes you ill, stress causes lots of problems. Whilst this may be true, Kelly McGonigal raises some very valid points, stress is your body preparing you to take a challenge. She encourages us to discover our stress responses such as increased heart rate, for me I go really cold and sometimes can focus more clearly. When we feel our bodies reacting in such a way, channel the energy to focus on what’s making you stressed!
It’s just can’t be a coincidence that stressed spelt backwards is desserts, and really there isn’t a lot that some chocolate cake or ice-cream can’t fix.
