I love a psychological thriller, I love the suspense involved, especially when I inevitably don’t see the plot twist or misjudge a character. Lies, however, was not great. I rarely finish a book and am disappointed but I just didn’t enjoy Lies. The plot line and characters were just too far fetched. I did want to find out what had happened to Ben, (the missing character), but I found myself getting frustrated throughout the novel. Although, I did enjoy some of the technology aspects of the crime, with tracking apps on phones to record whatever the owner of the phone was saying, or to dodge IP addresses.
If you want a really easy beach read, that will pass the time in the sun go for Lies. If you want something with a bit more substance try another book!
