I could not put this book down, the constant change between narrator of son and mother left me wondering who to trust, and who not to. The interweaving of a mental illness, was thought provoking for me. So often mental illnesses are ignored as they are invisible, leading to self doubt or speculation. In essence what happened to the mother, with nobody believing her versions of events, assuming she was crazy.
I definitely want to visit Sweden now, in part due to the scenery but also to experience a Midsomer event. Personally, I did not see the ending coming which was a nice change to so many thriller/crime novels.
