The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair

I did not expect any of what happened in the book, from twist one at the beginning to the final twist. As soon as you finish, the meaning of there being 31 chapters counted down backwards becomes immediately clear. This had annoyed me throughout reading the book, so I welcomed the reason being told. Throughout, you just want to know exactly what happened to Nola, particularly to do with her beatings and bruising. I would also be intrigued to read what should be, The Origins of Evil, as you got excerpts throughout.

I’d suggest a single afternoon with plenty of coffee for this book!
