Reading In Heels

My favourite things – reading and running. You might have gathered that from a blog post or two. The world of subscription boxes is on the rise, from beauty to cheese toasties to reading. Or in my case, Reading In Heels a combination of reading and beauty. Or beauty and brains if you will.

Reading In Heels

I love that we are at a point where reading is cool, no longer the geeky thing to do. I’ll be honest, I love a night in with a book, some wine or a gin and a facemask. The beauty of the Reading In Heels box is it really is my cup of tea. Perfectly instagrammable boxes, both inside and outside. Again, so appealing to their target market.

This months box included:

Reading In Heels

  • A book – The Party
  • Energising Wellness Tea
  • Perfume Samples – these smell divine. They have gone in my drawer at work for when you need an afternoon pick me-up!
  • Optiat Face Masks – oh this was brilliantly messy. A good exfoliating mask was much needed for my face with all the running. The nourishing mask will be used this wekeend.
  • Mallow Marsh Bar – this is being saved for next week as a post marathon treat.

You also get a beautiful illustrated note describing the products!

Reading In Heels

I loved the book. It was odd to have a physical book, having used a kindle for years. I forgot how you have to have a light on to read. The premise of the book was mixing between The Party, and the characters, Martin and his theoritical best friend Ben. You read about how their friendship, grows, develops and changes over the years, and what this leads to at The Party. It’s a fascinating look into friendship and the perspective off it. Particularly how one friend views the other and how often the views are not reciprocated.

I’ve treated myself to 3 months of boxes of Reading In Heels.
