Oh it's the most wonderful time of the year. I am definitely one of those people that gets overly excited by Christmas, candles on, jumpers on, songs singing. At least that's what I did on Sunday whilst doing some festive baking. Two super easy recipes that I copied from pinterest or my work colleague. Christmas

Peppermint Slices

A quintessential fine piece. For anyone asking, a fine piece is a North Eastern Scottish word for a baked good. You would have a fine piece with a fly cup. Peppermint slices, buttery biscuit base, mint icing, dark chocolate. A biscuit version of an after eight. Ingredients: 400g hobnobs or other biscuits 300g butter 280g icing

4th July Cupcakes.

Happy 4th for any American readers. Growing up expat has definitely led to a love of all types of public holidays from the 4th, to labour day to the holy month of Ramadan to National Day.
