I have a bad habit. I have expensive taste in designer clothes I cannot afford. Having lived in Dubai for 8 years, my weekends were spent in malls filled with boutique and high end shops. I lost days window shopping, a girl can dream can’t she?
Having moved to England for university, I started to lust after British designers such as Russell and Bromley and Jaeger. One of THE (many) items on my wish list was a timeless Jaeger coat to last me many a winter. Sadly, the prices are far from the stupid friendly high street.
Santa granted an early Christmas wish. During the last week of term I happened to walk into the Students Union for lunch and saw a vintage pop shop called Sanshea Vintage. After staring at the clothes over lunch I decided to have a look. I happened to spot a little Jaeger coat. I tried it on and was in love. A woollen cropped blazer with a gorgeous tartan print (despite the dodgy accent I am Scottish). My face fell to the floor when the lady told me it was only £18. Never ran so quickly to get cash out! The coat is in excellent condition and vintage clothing is definitely a great options for students with expensive tastes.
The pop up was only in the Students Union for that day, but the Facebook page for the shop is here. I am spending the weekend with my Dad’s side of the family in a beautiful old castle converted into a hotel called Knock Castle. It seems like the perfect opportunity to wear my blazer and take photos of the Scottish countryside.
